Volkswagen's Ultimate Family Heroes

Quite a fun new campaign from Volkswagen to promote their Touran and Sharan cars - they've put together a competition to find the Ultimate Family Hero. Four people have been nominated for services ranging from helping with homework to baking tasty cakes. Sophie is currently leading the competition with 47% of the vote, but you can choose your favourite here.

Halo Interceptor

Yes, it's a fantastic name. It's also an amazing vehicle. It comes with special attachments that allows you to use it as a boat, a helicopter or an aeroplane. Based on the Bugatti Veyron, it's probably only viable if you're stinking rich, but anyone can dream, right?

The Fastest Pizza Delivery In The West

If you thought being a pizza delivery guy was boring, think again! Breaking out from the usual small car/bike/moped theme, Domino’s pizza in Wales has just introduced their very own Ferrari 360 Spyder to celebrate the launch of their Pontyclun branch.

Monday the 4th of October was an exciting day in the South Welsh town. International rugby union player Ryan Jones, who plays for the Ospreys, headed along to Pontyclun for the official launch party, where they unveiled the lean, mean delivery machine.

So what does the car look like? Here’s a sneak preview, but if you want to see it in the flesh (metal?), you’ll have to get to Pontyclun:

It’s been vinyl-wrapped in Domino’s promotional branding – usual practice for many business owners, though most don’t have quite the same high standards when it comes to style!

Who’ll be driving it? Probably the luckiest pizza delivery guy in the UK. I’m sure applications for jobs at Domino’s will increase the more Ferraris they bring into their fleet of delivery vehicles...

With a top speed of 186mph, and the ability to go from 0-60 in just 4.3 seconds, there’s no doubt that Domino’s will be the fastest pizza deliverers in Wales, though they assure us that they’ll be adhering to the speed limits.

Unfortunately I managed to miss the opening event, living so far away from Wales, but if you went along, I’d love to hear from you!
