The Loch Ness monster came to the world's attention in 1933, the time of the first sighting. Since then, various people claim to have seen the monster, whose nickname 'Nessie' derives from the Gaelic Niseag. The most famous photo of Nessie is below, and was taken by a London gynaecologist in 1934.

Personally, I'm quite a fan of the idea that kids see things we adults don't, mainly because they seem more likely to believe in them. Anyone have any examples of things they saw when they were children which they might now dismiss as 'imagination'?
